Overview

Duo Brake, LLC ("Duo Brake," "we," "us") installs and sells dual-control brakes for driving schools, instructors, and families. This policy explains what information we collect through duobrake.com and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Order requests: vehicle make, model, and year (or the vehicle details you type in), whether you want the part shipped or installed, your first and last name, driving school name, email, phone number, shipping or installation address, city, state, ZIP code, preferred day and time, any notes you add, and the mobile fee estimate shown for your ZIP code.
  • State requests: the state you select and your email address.
  • Calls, texts, and emails: anything you share when you contact us, such as photos of your vehicle or brake, scheduling details, and your phone number or email address.
  • Service and warranty records: details of the work we perform, invoices, proof of purchase, and vehicle information including VIN when you provide it.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics and advertising: we use Google Analytics and Google Ads, which use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, time on site, the ad or link that brought you to us, browser and device type, and approximate location based on IP address.
  • Server and security logs: our website host, Webflow, collects standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your visit to operate and secure the site.
  • Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the font files are delivered.

We do not collect payment card information through this website. Payment is arranged directly with you after we confirm your order.

2. How we use your information

  • To confirm that a Bar Brake or Cable Brake fits your vehicle and respond to your request.
  • To schedule installations, ship parts, provide estimates, send invoices, and arrange payment.
  • To provide customer support, warranty service, warranty transfers, and adjustments.
  • To let you know when we begin installing in your state, if you submitted a state request.
  • To understand how visitors use our website, measure our advertising, and improve our services.
  • To prevent fraud and spam, keep our website secure, and comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting and form handling (Webflow), analytics and advertising (Google), phone, text, and email providers, and scheduling, invoicing, and payment software. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Installers such as Duo Brake technicians and approved third-party installers who perform your installation or service, limited to what they need to do the job.
  • Shipping carriers when we ship a part to you.
  • Legal and safety reasons, such as complying with the law, responding to lawful requests, enforcing our warranty terms, or protecting the rights and safety of our customers and business.
  • Business transfers, if Duo Brake is involved in a merger, sale, or transfer of assets.

4. Text messages

If you text us or give us your mobile number, we may text you about your request, appointment, order, or service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties for their marketing purposes.

5. Cookies and advertising choices

Google Analytics and Google Ads use cookies to measure visits and the performance of our ads, and Google may use this information to show our ads to you on other websites. You can:

  • Manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some measurement will not.

Our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

6. How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services and support your warranty, which may last as long as you own the vehicle and product, and as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. State request emails are kept until we launch in your state or you ask us to remove them.

7. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections on our website and access limited to people who need the information to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing or calling us using the details below. We may need to keep certain records, such as invoices and warranty records, where the law requires or where they are needed to honor your warranty. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we will respond to requests as required. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

9. Children

Our website and services are intended for driving schools, instructors, and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
